About the Founders

Kathy Sherard

Kathy was a top model, gracing many covers including Vogue and Elle. In 2001, Kathy’s two year old son, Jackson was diagnosed with autism which changed her entire direction in life. Then faced with improving the life of her son, Kathy searched out programs for families dealing with this life changing situation. Jackson, now 8, is making great progress but needs extensive therapies to continue to grow.

Kathy is an inspiration to all as she gets out into the community sharing her experiences with other parents and community leaders. Kathy has been involved with Special Education along with behavioral therapies, speech therapies, social skills and parental participation.

Kimberly Bartz

Kimberly has the challenge of not one, but two children with autism. And along with three other children, she was faced with the demanding task of curing their autism while still trying to enjoy daily life with the entire family.

It is her reality that without
social acceptance and awareness, children with autism would not have a chance to be successfull in everyday life. It is her passion to help clear the roadblocks and expose the truth of what faces families with autism.
